Actual Salary £14,147 - £14,430

Fixed Term - Part Time

The position is fixed until July 2022.  The role is for 32.5 hours per week, term time only on Band 5, scale point 5/6.  A day would be from 8.30 am to 3.30pm with a half hour break for lunch.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have had experience of working with SEN children and those with an EHCP
  • Have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Have excellent English, maths and ICT skills
  • Have a consistently positive approach to behaviour management

Duties will include:

  • Work with teaching staff to support quality first teaching, work with individuals, groups and whole classes as required.
  • Deliver learning activities to students within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to student responses/needs.
  • Develop curriculum resources to support students with Special Education Needs.

To complement, appreciate and support the role of teachers and other professionals by undertaking work/care/support programmes which enables access to learning in the community as part of a teacher planned approach.

To support the class teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom, and other senior staff on a range of teaching and learning experiences which deliver an appropriately differentiated and suitably challenging curriculum for all pupils whilst meeting statutory requirements.

Work within school policies and procedures under the direction and guidance of senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision.
