Food and Textiles Technician

Band 5 SCP 4-6

Permanent - Full Time

37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a friendly and professional approach to work within the Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will ensure that Teaching and Learning is supported to enable staff and pupils to achieve the best possible outcomes.

This is an exciting and challenging role and it is essential that the successful candidate has good Food and Textiles knowledge, is able to work as part of a team, is flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs, has patience and a good sense of humour and has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. With supervision they will be expected to plan and organise daily/weekly workloads, address unexpected/urgent tasks and prioritise so that deadlines are achieved. In addition, they will be required to work on a wide variety of tasks across the Technology Faculty as well as give support to after school events, clubs and coursework catch up evenings.

We are an extremely popular and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school which has outstanding facilities and a state of the art learning environment.  The school is within easy reach of Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
