Oakworth Primary School is a 2 form entry primary school in the heart of Oakworth village. We have 470 children on our role from ages 3-11. It is an amazing place to be; our children and staff are incredible and we have a kind and supportive community.

We are proudly part of the Bronte Academy Trust, a small trust with the biggest heart.

We are now looking for a practical, flexible and well-motivated individual to take on the role of caretaker, You will be hardworking, reliable, well-organised and able to use your own initiative.  You will also have excellent practical / DIY skills, as well as an excellent awareness of safeguarding and health and safety considerations. As part of a Trust, your ability to build relationships and support our colleagues at the 3 other sites, is imperative.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Flexible and able to work across other sites when required and occasionally on a weekend
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and purposeful environment

Your main duties will involve; general maintenance and minor repair works, grounds maintenance, and managing the cleaning team. 

Experience in a similar role would be beneficial and familiarity of using mechanical cleaning equipment and power tools is desirable, as is knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. The successful candidate must possess a full UK driving license. The role will report directly to the Multi Site Manager for the Trust.
