Oastlers @ Keighley is a purpose-built school in Keighley for secondary school age learners with social, emotional and mental health disturbance. Some have additional learning difficulties compounded by other complex issues, which combined, create barriers to learning. It is the second site for Oastlers School and with a specific focus on vocational pathways into employment or further education.

Oastlers School and Oastlers @ Keighley will be working towards becoming a ‘Trauma Informed School UK’ adopting trauma informed practice and we would welcome applicants who have experience of working in a highly nurturing setting supporting children with complex social, emotional and mental health disturbance

Vacancy Information

We are looking for excellent classroom practitioners and candidates who are able to teach across the secondary age range from KS3 to KS4 to be based on our Keighley Site

We would like an experienced teacher who has the desire to put children’s needs at the heart of your teaching and learning.  You need to be able to adapt your teaching to inspire, enthuse and motivate all the children.  You will need to be flexible and understand that inclusion in the classroom is key to success for all our children.

Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) and the associated risks ACE’s have upon mental health and well being

Applicants from a variety of special school, Pupil Referral Units or specialist Independant School settings are encouraged to apply.
