Nursery Teacher - Required for January 2020 (start date Monday 6th January)

Fixed term vacancy until August 2020 to cover maternity leave, MPS/UPS

We have a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our highly skilled and dynamic staff team in Early Years.  The post is suitable for newly qualified and experienced teachers.  Great Oak Nursery is a large, well-resourced Nursery and has capacity for 50 children aged 3 and 4.  Currently 25 children take advantage of the 30 hour offer and stay all day.  The Nursery benefitted from an extensive refurbishment in 2013 and offers a superb indoor and outdoor learning space.

We have fantastic facilities in our school: main hall, small hall, food technology room, library, group rooms, meeting rooms, audiology room, main staffroom, small staffroom, wildlife area, sensory garden, two school fields, raised beds for growing veg, an orchard, good sized classrooms, soundfield systems, mobile technology – the list goes on – our building and grounds are second to none.  As well as all this, we have an Additionally Resourced Centre (ARC) for Deaf and Hearing Impaired pupils and a Nursery for 2 year olds.  

We are proud of our traditions here at Swain House - Harvest Festival, EY and KS1 Nativity (all pupils participate), KS2 Carol Concert, S Factor Talent Show, Junior Dance Challenge Competition, ARC Panto, KS2 School Musical, Y6 Leavers’ Production and residential visits in Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 are just some of the experiences we provide for our pupils.
