Permanent, 25 hours per week

Pay Scale: Band 8 (SCP 17-22)

Oxenhope CE Primary School is an academy with the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust. The successful candidate will be employed by BDAT although their main place of work will be at Oxenhope. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, creative and flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work as part of our team. Our most recent Ofsted described us as ‘Good’ (June 2019) and out most recent SIAMS as ‘Outstanding’ (February 2016).

Vacancy Information

Responsible to:  Head of School and Class Teachers.

Job Purpose:  To complement the professional work of teachers. 

This may involve:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes
  • Monitoring pupils and assessing and recording
  • Reporting on pupils' achievements, progress and development

The successful candidate will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations
  • A skillful and considerate communicator
  • Resilient and have a sense of humour
  • Experienced at working with children of all ages and abilities, including children with SEND
