The Governors, Staff and Parents of ‘The Lilycroft and St Edmund’s Nursery Schools’ Federation’ are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable School Business Manager to join the teams in our exceptional, ‘outstanding’ schools. As School Business Manager you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will have the autonomy to initiate and drive forward change. You will need to be a team player that is able to multi task effectively, motivate others and demonstrate a commitment to achieving the very best for the children and families of Bradford. Ideally the post-holder will possess relevant SBM qualifications and will have had experience in a similar setting or can bring high quality, transferable skills from a business environment.

This is a key position across two nursery schools and a successful and fully integrated childcare business. We are looking for an innovative team player who is flexible and ambitious and is able to efficiently carry out a range of tasks with a high level of skill and initiative whilst remaining child and people focussed. The successful candidate must be willing to work compressed hours, 37 hours over four days, all year round.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • The ability to motivate and develop staff teams
  • Experience of finance/budget planning and producing financial reports
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Leadership and management experience of areas including finance, HR and health and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • A problem solving can-do attitude and a sense of humour
  • Experience of premises, facilities and project management
  • Commitment to continual improvement at strategic, classroom and individual levels
  • A genuine desire to be fully involved in the life of our schools and diverse communities
