Exceed Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Director of Exceed SCITT to support the existing Director of Exceed SCITT from September 2021.

Exceed Academies Trust is an organisation that currently has 6 Primary schools, 1 all through Primary and Secondary school and one Alternative Provision school. Along with the SCITT, it has an Institute for Teaching and leads Bradford Teaching School Hub.

Exceed SCITT is an Ofsted Outstanding Provider of Initial Teacher Education and as an accredited Provider can recommend for the Award of Qualified Teacher Status. The appointment reflects the expansion and diversification of its current provision in the Primary age phases. We offer both School Direct and Provider-led routes in the 3-7 and 5-11 age range. In addition, Exceed Academies Trust is a training provider for the Level 6 Teaching Apprenticeship.

Exceed SCITT works with a growing number of ITT Training Providers offering unique and innovative programmes to suit all Primary focused trainees, including those with an emerging interest and ambition to work within SEND.  The newly appointed Deputy Director of SCITT will be based at our training campus at Holybrook Primary School. The location of the campus enables partnership work both in Bradford and our training hub in Leeds.

This post is a unique opportunity for an outstanding and ambitious existing senior leader, experienced within teacher training and development, to lead and deliver the SCITT’s key priorities. The successful candidate would report directly to the Director of Exceed SCITT, and additionally work in close collaboration with other leadership colleagues across the organisation.
