28.75 hours per week, term time only, permanent

Band 6: SCP 6-11, £12,719 – £14,043 depending on experience

Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 15:15, Friday 8:30 to 12:15

Term-time only

We are looking for an outstanding teaching assistant to work in our school to support pupils with special educational needs.

The post will entail working with individual pupils, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a small group, to support the teacher in meeting the children’s SEN needs.

You will be working closely with the class teacher, phase leader and our SENCo to secure high quality provision and good outcomes for our pupils with SEN.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working as a teaching assistant with primary age pupils
  • Have experience of working with children with special educational needs including Autism
  • Have at least a GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Be passionate about inclusion and meeting children’s individual needs
  • Be highly motivated, resilient and committed to securing the best possible outcomes for our pupils
  • Be positive, proactive and solution focused
  • Have high expectations of yourself and the pupils you work with
  • Be a team player with a good sense of humour
  • Be willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our pupils
