Cleaner - 1 Year Fixed Term

Required to work 3.00pm to 5.30pm after school, 12.30 hours per week, all year round (will be required to work mornings during the school holidays), to commence as soon as possible

Band 1, SCP 1 - £9.00 per hour (pay award pending)

The school is looking for a cleaner to join our professional and dedicated premises team. Applicants should be enthusiastic with an ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.  

PRIME OBJECTIVES

To provide efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance service within Health and Safety at Work guidelines,

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - None

SUPERVISION AND GUIDANCE - Will report direct to the Caretaker

RANGE OF DECISION MAKING - None

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS, MATERIALS ETC - None

RANGE OF DUTIES

  • General cleaning duties as directed
  • To be responsible for cleaning equipment
  • To be responsible for the safe storage of cleaning materials, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • To undertake training when and where needed and to attend courses as they are arranged.
  • To work hours set out in contract, but some flexibility in hours may be necessary and this will be arranged with the agreement of the headteacher
  • Any other duties as may be reasonable requested.
