Leadership is about making a difference.
At Woodside Academy, that’s exactly what we do.
Due to the promotion of our current Assistant Headteacher to the position of Headteacher, we need a Deputy Headteacher to lead on teaching, learning and behaviour across the school.
We are continuing our journey of improvement following our recent good inspection. We are driven by a simple mission – to enable every child to be the best they can be.
You are an enthusiastic, resilient, determined and inspirational leader who has the vision and commitment to support the Headteacher in leading the Academy forward.
Our Deputy Headteacher needs to demonstrate highly effective teaching and learning skills, in order to coach and mentor others to improve practice; and an excellent understanding of data and assessment and how to use it to secure improved outcomes for pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has significant teaching and leadership experience.
To find out more, contact Mr Harrison (Headteacher). An application pack, including job description and person specification is available from Miss Beecroft (Administrator).

The Academy's ethos is positive and supportive with good behaviour standards. We have a stable, experienced, supportive and friendly staff. Each class has a full-time teaching assistant and we also have additional support staff to ensure our children get the most out of their academy experience.
